School closure for all but vulnerable children and those of key workers
4 January 2021 (by admin)
Until or unless further guidance arrives to the contrary, “key workers” as those who were previously identified as such.
Any parents who were not previously key workers but have become key workers since the Spring lockdown should bring their evidence to school as soon as possible to secure their child's place. In addition a form has been emailed via ParentMail to those children who have so far attended which must be completed and returned. Unless the government directs otherwise, children should only come to school during the hours at which the parents themselves are at work.
“Vulnerable” children are those a) who have a social worker, b) have an EHCP (SEND statement) or c) have agreed with school that there are particular reasons why their child should be considered vulnerable.
The whole point of lockdown is to reduce transmission of the virus so we urge parents to send their children only if it is absolutely necessary. Thank you
Work will be set online by class teachers and zoom lessons will take place every day. Alternatively, there are paper copies of all work set for each class, available in the school foyer.
Free school meals vouchers will be distributed to those financially eligible as soon as possible. Please note this does not include children who receive universal free school meals as they are in key stage 1.
Please understand all of this is subject to change should direction arrive subsequently this will be passed on immediately..
