  • The SATS scores are out!
    We have done very well indeed.
  • May Day Bank Holiday Change
    As you may have seen in the press the May Bank holiday on 4 May 2020 has been moved to Friday 8 May 2020. This is a nationwide change.
  • Parent Mail - Forms!
    We now have access to the 'forms' section of the ParentMail app.
  • SIAMS Inspection
    As we have very close links with St John the Baptist Hey and Zion Methodist Churches we have recently had our 5 yearly Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools and have been awarded an "excellent" grade.
  • Uppermill Library Coding Club
    Uppermill library now has a Code Club!
  • Healthy Choices in Lunch Boxes
    Recently we have noticed that some children are bringing food in their lunch boxes which we discourage on health grounds.
  • No-smoking Site
    Please remember that smoking is not allowed anywhere within the school grounds.
  • Local Parking Problems
    There are an increasing number of local residents who are having problems with parents dropping off or picking up children who are parking without thought for our neighbours.
  • Geography Association Bronze Award`
    We are very proud to say that Hey with Zion have been awarded the Geography Association's bronze quality mark for our work in Geography over the last 12 months!
  • Excellence in Literacy Award
    Hey with Zion has been awarded the prestigious Excellence in Literacy quality mark from the Institute of Education at London University. This is a tremendous award. We are unaware of any Oldham school which has ever won it.
