EU Settlement Scheme

21 June 2021 (by admin)

There are growing concerns locally and nationally that elderly people, some who may have lived in the UK for many years, have not applied to the scheme.

Also families are unaware that they may need to complete applications for their children (including those born in the UK).

EU, EEA or Swiss citizens, and their family members need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living, working, studying and accessing healthcare, pensions, benefits in the UK after 30 June 2021. Failure to apply may mean that residents cannot access healthcare or welfare benefits to which they are entitled.
